The Thinking Run

Run with better judgement, not just more effort

25 British pounds

Service Description

The Thinking run is a monthly guided run for runners who want to better understand how they run, not just get the miles done. This isn't a fitness session, a workout or a talk. It's a 75-90 minute run where the focus is on effort, rhythm and decision making. This takes into account that things are always perfectly, flat, fresh or predictable. Most runs teach you what to do. This run helps you learn how to judge effort and make better decisions for yourself, whether that's on easy days, long runs, on hilly sessions or on race days. The group will be comprised on like minded runners and capped at 18. There will be simple prompts to help you notice aspects of your running. There will be elements of guidance you can test and apply immediately. Each session will end with some light reflection.

Cancellation Policy

The Thinking Run is a small‑group, guided running session designed to help you understand how you run, not just how far or how fast you go. To keep the experience safe, supportive and fair for everyone, please read the booking policy below. Cancellations & Refunds Your place can be cancelled up to 48 hours before the session for a full refund or transfer to a future date. Cancellations made after this point can’t be refunded, as group numbers and planning are already set. Arriving & Participation Please arrive ready to run, with appropriate clothing for the weather and a comfortable pair of running shoes. This is not a workout or performance session — the focus is on effort, rhythm and decision‑making. You’re encouraged to run at a pace that feels sustainable and safe for you. Group Size To maintain quality and individual attention, the group is capped at 18 runners. This ensures space, safety and a supportive environment for reflection and guided prompts. Health & Safety By booking, you confirm that you are fit and well enough to take part in a steady, conversational‑effort run lasting 75–90 minutes. If you have any concerns about injury, illness or suitability, please check with a healthcare professional before attending. Weather Sessions go ahead in most weather conditions. If conditions become unsafe (e.g., ice, storms, extreme heat), the session may be rescheduled and you’ll be notified as early as possible. Respectful Environment The Thinking Run is built on psychological safety, curiosity and non‑judgement. All participants are expected to contribute to a supportive, inclusive atmosphere.
